Izzy Osmanovich to leave the Jets
The Screaming Jets wish to announce the departure of long serving member, guitarist, Izzy Osmanovich.
Izzy has decided to move on, and although it is another setback in a long series, The band plans to continue after his departure.
“Losing Izzy is going to be real tough,” says singer Dave Gleeson, “ he has been an integral part in the growth of the band over the last 12 years, and I actually believe he is one of the finest guitarists in the world.”
The fact that the Screaming Jets will be looking for a replacement as soon as possible, is testament to the fact that this band may continue on forever.
“Obviously losing such an important member, is always a kick in the guts, but we wish Izzy all the best in his future endeavours, and then we start the process of trying to find someone to fill what can only be described as huge boots, but that’s rock n roll.”
Anyone interested in throwing their hat in the ring to fill the vacancy left by Izzy, is welcome to get in touch with the band through the website.

Izzy, you are an absolute gentleman and a legend.

I can’t believe Izzy is leaving. That’s going to be tuff to find someone to fill that void. His sound, tone and style was a massive part of their sound and it was great to watch him step it up even more once Grant left. I really thought he was a Jet forever. Others had come and gone but Izzy was part of the foundations. While I’m so sad to see him leave, and perhaps he will one day return, the positive here will be to see who will now step in to once again change and re-invent the Screaming Jets sound. Always changing – Forever ever amazing – The Screaming Jets.
You sure Izzy's leaving i saw the Jets last night and he was their.. it will be ashame to see Izzy leave he is a great guitarist. The Jets wont be the same with out him! first it was Grant now Izzy whos next??? not Paul.
Yep its all true .
Izzy is hanging around till xmas unless the guys can convince him to change his mind, but he seemed pretty adamant about it.
